Payment - Guarantee Methods - AP466 - 07-27-2024

Hi,

It would be very useful to have some flexibility in the payment/guarantee methods.

For bank accounts, it would be useful to have a free-text field (e.g. called notes) where we can insert some text. (e.g. notify us when you make a payment etc.). Also, in Greece we would like to support a fast, low-comission bank transfer method (IRIS payments) so we would like to be able to add instructions for this (it requires our tax ID or mobile phone).  This can be achieved by adding a text field in the bank guarantee method.

In addition, we would like to offer other payment methods (e.g. Revolut) where the only thing required is our Revolut ID - this just needs a text field.
So all we would need is one or more payment/guarantee option which could just be a text-input field so we can input other options.

Many thanks,
Andreas

Hi Andreas,

Thank you very much: yours is a good proposal! We will take it into account for future improvements.

In the meantime, you can work around this by allowing the creation of reservations in waiting for approval status (in case, reach our support to know how to): once created, you can contact guests via email to request payment in the manner you want.
Maybe you can anticipate the payment methods you accept in the welcome message.

Hi Andreas,

evaluating your proposal, we saw that in reality in the Zak booking engine you can also set up Reservation Models to allow the creation of bookings without requiring a guarantee method (among those provided by Zak).
Once this is set, you can insert any custom text within your cancellation policies.
Does this already allow you to satisfy your needs?
