Hello everyone!
On January 30th we published a mini-release dedicated to statistics and small but useful improvements.
Work to expand the functionality and improve the stability of statistics are ongoing, and for this release our development team has focused on:
Now the 'CHANNELS' tab becomes 'SALES CHANNELS'! Don't worry, we haven't taken away your favourite data, but we have expanded it further.
Now in addition to OTAs, you can also analyse DIRECT RESERVATIONS with Online Reception and Partner values.
As always, clear and timely data, with direct links to the configuration pages of the individual channels you have set up on ZaK.
Moreover, we have improved the logic of searches that have a comparison between dates and pick-up dates.
Now the logic also includes time shifting for the creation of reservations. A bit difficult to understand, but let's try a practical example!
NOTE: The logic only applies if the pick-up start and end dates are both set.
Now the most exciting part of the stats release: we have implemented a few things that you have been requesting and that will help your work a lot!
Optional saving of optional dates in quick filters:
Quick filters were initially conceived with the idea of reproducing the same search in different time periods.
We keep this possibility but also add the option (via switch) to save dates.
The idea is to allow 'saved searches' (i.e. all the parameters of a search, not the results).
Group by Quarter:
Now, in addition to grouping by day/month/year, you can also group by quarter (Q1, Q2, Q3 and Q4).
Overlapping data in charts for direct comparisons:
In searches with a comparison of dates we will show the data 'one above the other', and not side by side. They will be shown if these conditions are met:
• Date comparisons are only for whole years (1 year before, 2 years before, 1 year after, etc.). If the comparisons include, for example, '1 month earlier' then we do not show the overlap
• The search is for a maximum of 1 year: e.g. 01/01/2024 - 31/12/2023 the overlap is shown... but not for 01/01/2024 – 01/01/2025.
• In other cases, we show the datasets side by side, as we do now.
This was about statistics.
Then a small (but important) reframe was made on Youbook!
You have reported to us the difficulty of using the current selection interface for GROUP reservations, now it is not very easy to understand what you are adding and what you are deleting, or to add one or more physical rooms.
This has so far led to the creation of group reservations with NO physical rooms assigned.
We have completely redesigned the list of room types, better highlighting their individual availability on the left. At the same time we have put the associated physical rooms in the foreground, now you can add them with a simple click.
On the right you always have the partial total of what you have chosen (type and physical) and if you are overbooked it all turns red and you can see it!
At the bottom of the list is a summary stating what you have assigned and what you have not.
We have also revised the guest choice at the top of the page, more options are now displayed so that the choice is quick and easy.
Two other small changes: a template to send door opening codes and the display of notes on the 'requests' page of zCrm.
- The template for sending the room code has been improved to be resilient both in print and via email and via whatsapp. Everything is now clearer and more readable.
- Notes in zCrm requests were only visible on mouseover and, therefore, could not be copied. It is now possible to open the sent note.
We hope we have worked well and in the right direction for you and for us! We look forward as always to your kind and precious feedback!

NOTE: The logic only applies if the pick-up start and end dates are both set.
- Example: let's do a search with stay 2024, comparison "1 year before" and creation date (pick-up) from 01/01/2023 to 30/06/2023.
- With the current logic, we compared the reservations with stay in 2024 with those with stay in 2023, but both with creation dates from 01/01/2023 to 30/06/2023.
- With the new release we will compare those with a stay in 2024 and creation from 01/01/2023 to 30/06/2023, with those with a stay in 2023 and creation from 01/01/2022 to 30/06/2022.
